Svend Brown is a freelance artistic director, speaker and writer. He is currently Artistic Director of the East Neuk Festival, and Artistic Director of Glasgow's Concert Halls. Until recently he was also Creative Director of Perth Concert Hall. In July 2009 he was appointed Recently he directed Glasgow's successful bid to become UNESCO City of Music. Brown is a specialist adviser to the music and dance departments of the Scottish Arts Council. He also writes and lectures on classical music for many organisations.
